EDIUS Speed Editor Kit – Professional Editing Control for EDIUS

The precise jog/shuttle control of the popular Speed Editor is now available in EDIUS as well. The EDIUS Speed Editor Kit provides a ready to use solution for faster, more comfortable, and more efficient video editing. It is available at your local EDIUS reseller or directly in the EDIUS online shop.

The EDIUS Speed Editor Kit consists of:
  • Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor (hardware only, without Resolve Studio license)
  • RemoteBridge EDIUS Edition – the software developed by magic multi media GmbH/EDIUS.NET, to seamlessly integrate the Speed Editor with Grass Valley EDIUS

VisDom CapIt – The Intelligent Capture Solution for EDIUS Workflows

VisDom CapIt is a powerful and versatile capture tool designed to significantly expand the native capture module of EDIUS. Running in the background alongside EDIUS, CapIt supports not only SDI, HDMI, and webcam signals but also sources such as NDI and streaming media. Features include GPU‑accelerated encoding, adding a logo or watermark, and blurring selected areas directly during capture. CapIt is a flexible, feature‑rich extension that integrates seamlessly with EDIUS and, when used with EDIUS Workgroup or Broadcast, also supports edit‑while‑capture - allowing editing to begin while recording is still in progress.

VisDom CapIt is available for EDIUS 11, X and 9 users. A version capable of capturing up to 10 simultaneous sources instead of 1 is also available.

Mercalli V6 SAL & CLI for EDIUS Suite – Maximum Performance for EDIUS 11

With Mercalli V6 SAL & CLI for EDIUS Suite, proDAD presents an ideal stabilization solution perfectly tailored to the modern architecture of EDIUS 11. Thanks to direct communication via the free BAT Server, Mercalli achieves performance levels that clearly surpass conventional plug-ins.

The package also includes Mercalli V6 SAL (stand alone version), giving users maximum flexibility - both within EDIUS and independently of it.

After installation, two ready to use presets are available in EDIUS: a precise “CMOS Only” option for rolling shutter correction without zoom, and the particularly fast “Turbo” option for comprehensive stabilization including CMOS correction. Both can be applied to individual clips or multiple clips at once. The software makes optimal use of modern CPU and GPU hardware and can be expanded with custom functions directly within the EDIUS menu.

EDIUS 11.40.20234 released

The new EDIUS 11.40.20234 imports external bin/clip changes from tools like Mync or BAT Server. The update introduces improved format support and workflow enhancements. EDIUS now includes updated RED R3D (v9.1.2) with Extended Highlights, Broadcast Color, and GPU‑related fixes, plus corrected gamma metadata for Broadcast clips. The Blackmagic RAW SDK has been upgraded to v5.1.0, adding support for Leica SL3‑S, Sony FX3 and FX30 recordings. Export workflows see enhancements with preserved job settings for default exporters and richer exporter presets.

In addition, the update fixes a couple of important bugs, e.g. concerning timeline behaviour with reverse speed and HEIC files support.

This update is recommended for all EDIUS 11 users.

EDIUS 11.40.19830 released

EDIUS 11.40.19830 introduces several notable enhancements improving workflow efficiency and media performance. The software now also supports hardware decoding of H.264/AVC 4:2:2 10‑bit media on the brand new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, which Intel just unveiled at the CES 2026 in Las Vegas. This offers faster and more efficient handling of high‑quality footage. A “Rename” option has been added to the context menu on Sequence tabs. Playback responsiveness has also been significantly improved during active background jobs. There are now clearer track‑patch connect and disconnect indicators to support more intuitive timeline operations. The update further includes an upgrade to the Canon RAW Movie SDK (v2.10 R2), for the decoding of Canon RAW files.
In addition, the update fixes a couple of bugs.
